Molly of Denali on Pbskids and pbskids.org is a new show about a Indigenous girl named Molly and her family.

Here is my latest article about the new show on PBS kids Molly of Denali. https://geeks.media/molly-of-denali-is-everything

I since writing and publishing this article more episodes have been released on the pbskids.org page for folks to watch. If you haven’t had a chance to watch it check it out there. Also on the Molly of Denali page on the PBS kids website are games, printable worksheets and a link to the Molly of Denali podcast.

Molly and her Grandpa in the episode”Grandpa’s drum”

With each episode kids learn a little more about Molly and her family and their life in Alaska. One of the things that I most enjoy is how they incorporate Indigenous language into each episode. Growing up I only heard my elders speak our languages, hearing our words from a kids show has been amazing.

Another thing that we have enjoyed is that Molly’s family reminds us of our own family members and friends. My daughter likes the episodes that talk teach about the animals that live in Alaska. So far we have learned about moose and how to remove one from a runway, we learned that baby puffins are called pufflings ( that was her favourite).

We are looking forward to more episodes of Molly of Denali and looking forward to other studios and content creators to follow this shows example and create even more amazing characters.

Lastly I’m working currently working on my lists articles for SDCC 2019, I will be covering animation, tv and movie announcements. I’m also trying to get my current ranking of Democratic Presidential candidates done before the debate at the end of the month. Then I will write my reaction to the Debate the day after.
